Everything comes off the same yard in San Fernando and goes out on our own trucks, from one cubic yard up to a full load. Grouped by the job, so you can find the right material without knowing its trade name.
Coarse Builder’s Sand, Washed Concrete Sand and Fill Sand 30+ SE for bedding and backfill. Class 2 Base and Crushed Miscellaneous Base to compact underneath. C-Mix with 3/8 in, 1/2 in, 3/4 in or 1 in rock, blended and ready to mix on site.
3/8 in, 1/2 in and 3/4 in Crushed Rock, 3/8 in Pea Gravel and Drain Rock for French drains, trenches and paths. Decomposed Granite in natural, Gold and Pink, and Stabilized DG where the surface has to hold up under cars. Permeable Base where the plan calls for drainage.
Topsoil, Topsoil 70/30, Planters Mix (50/50) and Compost 30/70 for beds. Screened Fill Dirt to regrade. Premium Mulch and Gorilla Hair to hold a slope. Decorative rock such as Arctic White, Black Lava, Miners Gold and Honey Quartz for borders and dry creek beds.
Multiply length by width by depth in feet and divide by 27 for cubic yards, or use the cubic yards calculator. One cubic yard covers 108 square feet at 3 inches deep.
Hillside lots here put drainage first: Drain Rock and 3/4 in Crushed Rock for French drains and swales, decomposed granite for paths that shed water, Premium Mulch and Gorilla Hair bark to hold a planted slope between the oaks.
La Cañada Flintridge sits a few miles west of where the Eaton Fire burned, in the same San Gabriel foothill country. For crews cutting defensible space or rebuilding erosion control on bare slopes, fill dirt, base, drain rock and mulch all go out from one cubic yard up, one material per truck.
The streets climb from Foothill Boulevard toward the Angeles Crest, and protected oaks hang low over a lot of them. The bed lifts high to tip, so look up before you pick the drop spot, and if you are not sure, call 800‑777‑6299 with the address before the first load.
Our trucks run out of the yard in San Fernando on the 210 east, and La Cañada Flintridge is the first of our foothill stops, ahead of Pasadena and Altadena on the same run. Enter your ZIP and you see what we deliver to your address, with delivery already in the price.
Minimum order is one cubic yard. Each 10 wheel dump truck carries up to 10 cubic yards of most materials, less by weight for heavier products such as Class 2 base. Bigger orders go out across more than one load.
The truck needs about 12 feet of clear width, firm level ground and open sky over the drop spot, because the bed lifts to roughly 22 feet to tip. Watch for low wires and branches, and mark the spot with a stake or a cone.
Our delivery ZIP for La Cañada Flintridge is 91011, which covers both halves of the city: La Cañada rising north of Foothill Boulevard and Flintridge on the ridge south of it, along with the streets up toward Paradise Canyon and Descanso Gardens. 91012 is post office boxes only, so use your street ZIP when you order. Next door, Montrose is 91020 and La Crescenta is 91214, and we deliver to both. The trucks leave the 210 at Angeles Crest Highway, Berkshire Avenue or Gould Avenue, depending on where you are.
Grade is the thing to think about before the truck arrives. Almost every street here climbs, driveways rise or drop hard off the road, and the oak canopy hangs low, so the driveway check in the questions below is the norm rather than the exception. If you are not sure, call 800‑777‑6299 with the address.
If yours is not covered here, call and ask.
Yes. La Cañada Flintridge, ZIP 91011, is inside our delivery area, on our own 10 wheel dump trucks out of San Fernando, along with Montrose and La Crescenta next door. Enter your ZIP at the top of the page to see what we deliver to your address, or call 800‑777‑6299.
Orders placed before midnight go out the next day, seven days a week. Delays do happen, and location plays a part, so if one hits your order we let you know. For a particular day, say so when you order or call 800‑777‑6299.
Drain Rock and 3/4 in Crushed Rock for French drains, swales and dry creek beds, Screened Fill Dirt to regrade, decomposed granite where a path has to shed water, and Premium Mulch or Gorilla Hair bark to hold a planted slope. On bare or recently cleared slopes, mulch goes down first and the rock work follows the drainage plan. If a landscape plan specifies a material, read us the spec.
Often, but not always. The truck needs the clear width and overhead room described above, and firm level ground where it tips. On the climbing streets between Foothill Boulevard and the Angeles Crest, call 800‑777‑6299 with the address before you order. Ten cubic yards lands as a pile 13 to 15 feet across and 5 to 6 feet high, so pick the spot with that in mind.
91011 for La Cañada Flintridge street addresses, 91020 for Montrose and 91214 for La Crescenta. 91012 is post office boxes only, so order with the ZIP the property sits in. Each truck carries one material per delivery, and there is no yard pickup, so plan separate trucks for base and topsoil on the same job.
One cubic yard, the same as everywhere we deliver, so a single yard of decomposed granite for a path goes out to La Cañada Flintridge as readily as ten yards of base for a slab. Each 10 wheel truck holds up to 10 cubic yards of most materials, less by weight for heavier products such as Class 2 base, and bigger orders go across more than one truck.
Yes. The price you see on each material is the delivered price to your La Cañada Flintridge address, and nothing is added for freight at checkout.
Every price on the site is already the delivered price, with nothing added for freight at checkout. Enter your ZIP at the top of the page, pick the material, and price the job as the cubic yards you need times the price per yard. A full truckload is up to 10 cubic yards of most materials, the minimum order is one cubic yard, and the cubic yards calculator works out the yards from length, width and depth.
